Congress is discussing a budget plan that would cut Medicaid for 21% of Ohioans, including children, the elderly, and 40% of births in Ohio. Medicaid helps to keep local hospitals running, plays a crucial role in supporting K-12 students, schools, and school-based health providers and families.

Click "start writing" and tell your member of Congress to oppose any legislation that cuts Medicaid, SNAP, or leaves working families behind while the rich get richer.

In Congress, Trump’s allies are trying to sneak a new voucher program into a bill about taxes. But this “tuition tax credit” is nothing more than a national voucher program that also allows people like Elon Musk and Betsy DeVos to turn a profit, personally earning millions of dollars from the scheme, while our public schools, which 90 percent of all students attend, are underfunded and undermined.

Members of Congress—regardless of party—should urge President Trump to end this terrible anxiety and cruelty by reinstating the protection of schools, hospitals and churches against ICE.

Greater Cleveland Works is working to deliver on a promise we made to this community upon becoming a nonprofit last July: to create an employment quality framework for Greater Cleveland. Our goal in doing this is to outline the key elements of what defines a quality employment experience in our region and leverage that to create a baseline for consistency of worker experience (and ultimately, stability and opportunity for economic advancement) by helping employers understand where there’s opportunity to shift their policies and practices — which we plan to provide resources and support to help accomplish.

We know that workers across industries and job types/levels have very different experiences based on the nature of the work — but we want to understand what’s most important to employees in our community. (Is it pay? Opportunities for upskilling or professional development? Benefits? Safety? All of the above? Something else?)

We’re organizing focus groups of workers (and job seekers) from across Cuyahoga County to give input on what aspects of employment quality are most important to them. To do this, we’re hosting both an in-person and virtual focus group:
