2025-2026 AFT/CTU Teacher Leader Program
The Teacher Leaders Program (TLP) is a union program designed to help prepare you to be the educator who facilitates discussions of the issues that affect our profession both here in Cleveland and nationally. Preparing you to be the agent of change. Building leadership.

To increase understanding of the major challenges facing the teaching profession

To improve leadership skills

To represent our profession as articulate spokespersons

Becoming members of an influential and supportive network of educators

Conducting action research shared with local, state, and national leaders
This program will take place on Saturdays at the Halle Building from 9:00 am-3:00pm. The program will begin in November, continuing through the May showcase presentation.

AFT Special Tracks Teacher Leader Program
AFT also provides a Special Tracks program to extend the research from the year one cohort of the Teacher Leader Program. This program is run through the AFT and allows participants to dive deeper into the research they began in year one. The participants of the Special Tracks Program will also present during the May showcase presentation.
