Tell your state legislators, the Speaker of the House, and the Senate President that educators deserve meaningful elected representation on the STRS Board. Tell them to introduce and pass legislation to restore our voice on the STRS Board.

In Congress, Trump’s allies are trying to sneak a new voucher program into a bill about taxes. But this “tuition tax credit” is nothing more than a national voucher program that also allows people like Elon Musk and Betsy DeVos to turn a profit, personally earning millions of dollars from the scheme, while our public schools, which 90 percent of all students attend, are underfunded and undermined.

Members of Congress—regardless of party—should urge President Trump to end this terrible anxiety and cruelty by reinstating the protection of schools, hospitals and churches against ICE.

*Endorsements for statewide candidates, congressional candidates, and state representatives/senators are done through our parent union, the Ohio Federation of Teachers.

*CTU does not endorse in judicial races. All endorsements for judicial candidates are completed through Northshore AFL-CIO, of which CTU is a member.

Endorsement process

All candidates seeking CTU endorsement (including incumbents with past endorsement) must fill out a CTU Endorsement Questionnaire. The questionnaire is reviewed by the CTU COPE steering committee. If clarity is needed, we will give candidates a call to explain any answers. Candidates will receive a letter to let them know of endorsement decision.
